Information about the original:
When battle-hardened Luftwaffe fighter pilots flying Bf 109s launched operations against Britain following the evacuation from Dunkirk, they found themselves at a disadvantage for the first time ever. Due to their limited fuel supply, which gave them only a short time in British airspace, any mechanical failure or damage sustained in combat meant, at best, capture, but inevitably the end of the war.
