Model Information:
When it was launched in 1918, it was the largest warship in the world. It was a source of immense pride for the British Royal Navy. In May 1941, however, it was tasked with stopping the German battleship Bismarck. After making contact with this German battleship, the Hood, along with HMS Prince of Wales, opened fire. The Bismarck returned fire, and with its fifth salvo, dealt the Hood a fatal blow, causing it to sink in just two minutes. Only three men survived out of the entire crew of 1,500.
