Information about the original and the model:
The Hampden was undoubtedly one of the most distinctive British aircraft of World War II, an impressively agile medium bomber that saw extensive service in the early stages of the war and, thanks to its narrow 3-foot-wide fuselage, earned the nickname “flying suitcase.” It was used in the RAF’s first air raid on Berlin in August 1940.
