The Bristol Belvedere, a major postwar success of the British aviation industry, was a high-performance tandem-rotor helicopter designed for heavy-lift transport, which highlighted the versatility of modern rotorcraft. The Belvedere was equipped with true twin-engine redundancy, allowing it to operate safely on a single engine if necessary. Surprisingly, only 26 of these helicopters were ever produced.
