Academy 13429 Merkava Mk. III 1/72
The Academy 13429 Merkava Mk. III is a 1/72 plastic kit of the Israeli main battle tank. The finished model is 128 mm long, and the tracks come in longer semi-connected sections.
The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank with a front-mounted engine that adds to crew protection. The Mk. III version introduced a 120 mm gun, improved modular armour and other changes over its predecessors, and it remains one of the characteristic vehicles of the Israeli army.
According to the box, the Academy kit reproduces the IMI MG251 120 mm main gun, the 7.62 mm FN MAG and M2 machine guns, and semi-connected tracks. The finished model measures 128 × 38 mm (length × height).
The compact 1/72 scale suits a collection of modern tanks as well as wargaming, and the sand colour of the original offers scope for subtle weathering. Paints and glues required for assembly are not included.
