The WOT2 light truck was manufactured by the British Ford factory in Dagenham starting in 1939 in several versions. Nearly 60,000 of these vehicles were produced during the war and were used by the British Army, the RAF, and the Royal Navy until the late 1950s. During World War II, these vehicles supported British forces in Western Europe, Africa, and elsewhere. Foreign units also received them, including the Czechoslovak Independent Armored Brigade. Some of the vehicles were captured by the Wehrmacht and used extensively. After the war, these vehicles entered service with other armies. The Van Body variant was used as staff vehicles or as a mobile radar base. The model’s base is cast and includes a sheet of photo-etched parts and printed parts. The kit includes decals for two British vehicles.
The resin parts require cleaning, test fitting, and gluing with a suitable adhesive. Paints, glue, and tools are not typically included in the package.
