The McDonnell F-101C Voodoo was a modified version of the F-101 Voodoo, originally designed as a strategic bomber escort fighter. The F-101C version was optimized for strike missions where it could carry nuclear or conventional weapons, and was deployed primarily with USAF units at bases in the United States and Europe during the Cold War.
The aircraft was powered by twin Pratt & Whitney J57 engines, which enabled it to reach speeds of over 1,700 km/h. Although not primarily designed for aerial combat, its speed and durability allowed it to perform strategic missions in a variety of climates.
The 1/144 F-101C Voodoo kit features precision crafted plastic parts, finely engraved panels, a realistic cockpit and authentic decals for several versions of the US Air Force.
The high level of detail and compact scale make this model ideal for modelers interested in Cold War USAF jet aircraft.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
