1/72 Saunders-Roe SR-53 "Prototype" (Hi-Tech)
KPM 1/72 Saunders-Roe SR-53 "Prototype" is a model of a British experimental fighter from the 1950s. It combined rocket and jet propulsion for extremely fast ascents to altitude. As a pure prototype machine, it shows one of the most daring design paths of the Cold War. The kit offers precise shapes, fine paneling and detailed execution of the cabin and the characteristic hybrid propulsion arrangement.
Kovozávody Prostějov 1/72 Saunders-Roe SR-53 "Prototype" (Hi-Tech) is a plastic model of a British prototype fighter aircraft developed in the 1950s for the Royal Air Force. The SR-53 combined rocket and jet propulsion for rapid climb and interception of enemy bombers, but its development was discontinued in favor of more modern weapons systems.
This 1/72nd scale kit is part of a limited HI-TECH edition and includes 3D printed parts, spray masks and decals for two versions of the markings. The kit is suitable for more experienced modellers who will appreciate the higher level of detail and the opportunity to recreate a unique prototype aircraft. The assembled model can be an interesting addition to a display case or diorama with the theme of post-war aviation.
