The MiG-19PM represented the pinnacle of development for the MiG-19 series, the Soviet Union’s first mass-produced supersonic fighter aircraft. The PM version was equipped with radar and, for the first time, completely abandoned cannon armament in favor of four Kaliningrad RS-2U air-to-air guided missiles. This model served in the 1950s and 1960s with the air defense forces of the USSR and Warsaw Pact countries, including Czechoslovakia.
