1/72 F6F-5 OVERTREES
Eduard 1/72 F6F-5 OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the American carrier-based fighter. Sprues A, C, D and E only, no decals or instructions. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat, powered by the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial, became the US Navy’s principal carrier fighter in the Pacific from 1943. The improved F6F-5 was built from 1944 and was the most numerous Hellcat version; besides air combat it also attacked targets with bombs and rockets.
The label carries the name F6F-5 / Hellcat Mk.II and lists sprues A, C, D and E from parts set 7065; there are no decals, instructions, photo-etch or masks in the box. The F6F-5 served with the British Fleet Air Arm as the Hellcat Mk.II, so British markings are an option too. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
