1/72 Carro Comando M14/41 with 13.2mm Breda Modello 31 MG

The Carro Comando M14/41 was a command variant of the Italian M14/41 medium tank, which was one of the main armoured vehicles of the Italian Army (Regio Esercito) during the Second World War. The M14/41 tank was a further development of the M13/40 series and was characterised by a more powerful engine better suited to the demanding conditions of the North African theatre of war, where Italian armoured vehicles were deployed most intensively. The command version, the Carro Comando, was developed to ensure better command and coordination of tank units directly from the front line. Instead of the standard turret armament, it therefore carried a 13.2 mm Breda Modello 31 heavy machine gun and was fitted with enhanced radio equipment, which enabled commanders to maintain contact with subordinate vehicles and higher command.
