Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IIa OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the British fighter. Sprues A, C, K+J, P, R and S only, no decals or instructions. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The Spitfire Mk.II was built at the new Castle Bromwich factory and differed from the first version mainly in its more powerful Merlin XII engine. It reached RAF squadrons from the second half of 1940; the IIa carried eight .303 in Browning machine guns in the A-type wing.
According to the label the package holds sprues A, C, one K+J, P, R and S from parts set 82160, with no decals, instructions, photo-etch or masks. The Castle Bromwich-built Spitfire Mk.IIa can thus be built next to the Mk.I from the same parts set and the two early marks compared. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
