1/48 Mosquito NF.II / FB VI recommended for Tamiya
Yahu Model YMA4830 is a set of etched 1:48 scale dashboards for Tamiya de Havilland Mosquito NF.II and FB.VI kits. The parts are pre-coloured and ready for direct assembly (JustStick technology), eliminating the need to hand paint the dials. The kit is designed exclusively for Tamiya kits and fits them exactly.
The De Havilland Mosquito was one of the RAF's most versatile aircraft during World War II - its wooden construction, high performance and ability to perform a variety of roles made it a machine that was useful as a night fighter, reconnaissance aircraft, bomber and fighter-bomber. The NF.II (Night Fighter Mk.II) variant was used for night interception and carried the AI Mk.IV airborne radar, while the FB.VI (Fighter-Bomber Mk.VI) was the most widely used combat version, deployed for precision strikes against ground targets, ships and trains throughout Europe. The dashboard of both variants was based on a common base - a typical British RAF analogue instrument cluster with dark crackle paint and white prints - while the NF.II had additional elements for radar work and dimmed lighting for night operations.
The 1:48 scale Yahu Model YMA4830 kit is a photo-etched instrument panel (photo-etched brass) designed for Tamiya kits covering the NF.II and FB.VI variants. The parts are pre-painted directly onto the metal, so dials, switches and labels are faithfully reproduced without the need for hand painting. JustStick technology means the parts are form-fitted to the Tamiya cockpit and assemble directly in place of the plastic original with minimal modification. The kit is designed exclusively for Tamiya kits.
