1/48 Jyak-38/Yak-38M Forger A

Hobby Boss 1/48 Yak-38 / Yak-38M Forger A is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The single-seat Yak-38 is a Soviet carrier-based vertical take-off and landing aircraft. Two lift engines behind the cockpit supplement the main engine, whose exhaust nozzles sit along the fuselage sides. Four Soviet markings are offered: yellow 28, 53, 63 and 88, including camouflaged yellow 53 used for trials in Afghanistan.

Over 160 parts are supplied on six sprues, including nine clear components. Open upper covers reveal the faces of the two lift engines; lower openings and main exhaust nozzles are also represented. The cockpit can be displayed with its canopy open. Separate components provide wheel-bay detail and underwing stores including missiles, pods and external tanks. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
