Hobby Boss 1/48 J29F Tunnan is a plastic kit of the Swedish Saab J 29F jet fighter. The Saab J 29 Tunnan took its nickname from its barrel-shaped fuselage – “tunna” is Swedish for barrel. The J 29F introduced an afterburning engine and a wing with a dogtooth leading edge, and besides the Swedish Air Force it also flew in Austria.
According to the manufacturer the kit has more than 120 parts. It includes a cockpit with seat, undercarriage bays and clear canopy parts, with drop tanks and armament for the wings. The painting guide offers an Austrian aircraft with yellow wing and tail tips and a Swedish one with a red nose and the letter S on the fin, both in natural metal. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
