1/48 Hurricane I recommended for Airfix

The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was the most numerous RAF fighter aircraft at the time of the Battle of Britain (1940) and its cockpit instrument panel reflected the British standard of fighter equipment of the time - a compact arrangement of flight and engine instruments in dark grey or black, characteristic of British fighters of the first half of the war.

The Yahu Model offers for this type an instrument panel made by photo-etching technique from brass sheet with pre-applied colour printing. The result is an exact replica of the original panel in a reduced scale of 1:48, which faithfully captures the layout of the individual instruments, their dials and surrounding details that the plastic part from the Airfix kit cannot fully replicate. The kit includes a transparent acetate film that, when fitted behind the instrument ports, creates the illusion of real glass - an effect that is particularly noticeable when looking into the cockpit of models in this scale.

The add-on uses the JustStick system, a direct fitting in place of the original plastic part without the need for extensive modification or bonding. The kit is designed exclusively for the Airfix Hawker Hurricane Mk.I kit.
