1/48 Gladiator Mk.I late & Mk.II recommended for Roden / Eduard
Yahu Model YMA4832 is a set of etched 1:48 scale instrument panels designed for the cockpit of Gloster Gladiator Mk.I (late production) and Mk.II fighter biplane. The boards are colour printed and ready for direct mounting (JustStick technology). The kit is designed for Roden and Eduard kits.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last fighter biplane to be accepted into the RAF's armoury and a type that stood at the crossroads of two aviation eras - the departing world of canvas-covered wings and the emerging era of all-metal monoplanes. It entered service in 1937 and, despite its design obsolescence, was actively involved in the fighting of World War II: fighting over Norway, North Africa, the Mediterranean and during the Battle of Britain. The Mk.I (late series) and Mk.II versions differed from each other mainly by the engine - the Mk.II was equipped with a more powerful Bristol Mercury XV radial engine with a three-bladed variable pitch propeller, which gave it slightly better performance and ceiling. Armament remained the same for both variants: four 7.7 mm machine guns.
The Yahu Model YMA4832 is an aftermarket set of 1:48 scale etched instrument panels that replaces the plastic parts in the cockpit of the kit. The plates are made of etched brass sheet metal and feature colorful instrument printing with faithfully displayed dials, hands and labels. JustStick technology allows for direct gluing without the need for further painting of the instrument panel. The kit is designed for Roden and Eduard kits.
