Hobby Boss 1/48 F4U-5N Corsair early is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The early F4U-5N night fighter carries a radar pod on the right wing and a four-blade propeller. This combination distinguishes it from earlier day-fighter Corsairs. The release provides US Navy VC-3 markings with code NP and number 21.
Over 200 parts on twelve sprues include ten clear components. The engine is represented with separate cylinder-bank detail, alongside cockpit and wheel bays. Control surfaces are separate, and clear pieces provide the windscreen and canopy. An external tank fits beneath the fuselage. Wingspan is approximately 260 mm. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
