Hobby Boss 1/48 EMB-314 Super Tucano is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The Embraer EMB-314 Super Tucano (A-29) is derived from the Tucano trainer, but a more powerful PT6 engine, armour, a glass cockpit and five hardpoints make it a light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft. Originally developed for Brazil's Amazon surveillance programme, it now serves with many air forces.
Six grey sprues, one clear sprue and a small photo-etched fret hold over 150 parts according to the manufacturer. The ejection seats get photo-etched belts, decals provide the displays for both glass cockpits and the propeller is feathered. Stores include drop tanks, Mk 82 bombs, AIM-9L and AIM-9P missiles and GBU-12 laser-guided bombs. Markings cover aircraft of the Brazilian, Chilean and Colombian air forces. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
