1/35 Kfz.1 German Troop Carrier Type 170VK w/Canvas

Kfz.1 (Kraftfahrzeug 1) was a German Army designation for a light passenger car designed primarily for transporting officers, soldiers and small groups of men. The Type 170VK from Mercedes-Benz was one of the most widely used platforms in this category and was characterized by its reliability, low maintenance and ability to operate over more difficult terrain than conventional civilian cars. The Kfz.1 vehicles appeared in command staffs, liaison units, field gendarmerie and as escorts for heavier equipment. The canvas roof allowed the crew to be protected from the weather while maintaining light weight and simplicity of construction.
