1/35 B5N Kate recommended for Border Models

The Nakajima B5N2 Type 97 "Kate" was a deck torpedo and bomber aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force that played a key role in the Pacific conflict. It was the B5N2s that carried out the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and participated in most of the major naval battles including Midway, the Coral Sea and the Southeast Asia campaigns. Although a modern machine with powerful torpedoes and good range at the time of its deployment, it gradually became vulnerable to fighter aircraft and anti-aircraft fire. For modellers, the B5N2 represents an important type of Japanese naval aviation with its distinctive silhouette and rich deployment history.
