1/35 7.5cm Pak 40/4. Selbstfahrlafette RSO

The 7.5cm Pak 40/4 Selbstfahrlafette RSO was a German self-propelled anti-tank gun that was developed in 1943 as an emergency solution for the Eastern Front battlefield. The basis of the design was the RSO tracked tractor, which was originally intended for transporting material and artillery equipment in the extreme conditions of the Soviet Union. A 75mm Pak 40 anti-tank gun was mounted on its open hull, giving it high firepower but also exposing the crew to enemy fire.

The deployment of this machine was limited because the lack of armour protection and high profile increased its vulnerability. Still, thanks to its mobility and powerful gun, it was capable of threatening Soviet T-34s and other armor at the front, where conventional towed guns had difficulty moving in difficult terrain.
