1/32 N1K2-j George recommended for Hasegawa
Yahu Models 1/32 N1K2-J George is a photo-etched instrument panel for Hasegawa Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden kai 'George' kit in 1:32 scale. It is a "just stick" type accessory - a self-adhesive photo-etch that requires no glue or paint to complete. The panel is used to detail the cockpit of the model and replaces plastic parts from the basic kit. Installation is quick and easy thanks to the self-adhesive layer on the back of the photo-etched part.
The Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden kai, codenamed "George" by the Allies, was one of the best Japanese fighter aircraft of the final phase of World War II. It was developed as an improved ground version of the original N1K1 Kyofu floatplane fighter, and was redesigned to address the shortcomings of its predecessor - primarily landing gear instability and complex manufacturing. The N1K2-J had a lower wing, shorter undercarriage and overall simplified design, making it an agile and well-armed machine capable of facing American fighters such as the F6F Hellcat or F4U Corsair. In practice, the Shiden kai was used in the defence of the Japanese islands, and in the later stages of the war it became one of the few types that could at least partially match the technological superiority of the Allies. For modellers, it is an interesting type in terms of camouflage, armament and cockpit details, reflecting the Japanese approach to fighter ergonomics and instrumentation.
Yahu Models' 1:32 scale photo-etched instrument panel is designed to be used in combination with Hasegawa kits for realistic enhancement of the cockpit interior. It replaces the plastic parts of the basic kit and brings finely crafted details to themachines, controls and labels that plastic moulding cannot capture in full depth. Thanks to photo-etching technology, the panel achieves precise contours, legible scales and authentic layout based on historical models. The "just stick" version means that the back of the part is self-adhesive - just peel off the protective film and stick the panel directly to the designated location in the cockpit. There is therefore no need to use instant glue or cyanoacrylate, simplifying installation and reducing the risk of damage to delicate details. The panel also requires no painting - the colours and tints are already included in the photo-etched finish or clear coat, so once glued, the accessory is complete.
This type of enhancement is suitable for modelers who want to increase the detail of the cockpit without having to work with conventional photo etchings requiring bending, gluing and painting. The self-adhesive solution saves time while providing a professional look that will stand out well when the cockpit cover is open or when photographing interior details. The Yahu Models panel is designed to exactly match the dimensions and placement in the Hasegawa kit, so there is no need to modify or customize parts.
