Make an impression! We have for you Vallejo Diorama FX Granite Grey (26.309), a granulate that has been created under high pressure and heat (in the oven of our model alchemy, of course). It is a dry, pre-coloured mineral material in an extremely coarse fraction of 2-5 mm.

This fraction is not intended for fine paths. It is a material for spectacular, three-dimensional effects: simulations of debris fields after a mountain slide, massive ruined granite structures, or bedrock trying to tear itself out of the depths of the earth's magma. The mottled grey h ue of granite is a perfect match for larger scale models and instantly adds visual volume and authenticity to your scene.

The key geological process (or how the rocks hold up): these large granite rocks are loose and, although they look solid, they will simply roll apart without help. To create a lasting, realistic terrain that retains its matte finish, it is essential to set them! Once the terrain has been poured and shaped, apply the fixing medium - preferably Vallejo Terrain Fixer - using a capillary action. The fixer will soak into even the largest gaps and securely anchor the entire boulder field, ready for patination.
