Tamiya 35216 Tiger I Sd.Kfz.181 Early Production in 1/35 scale captures one of the first production versions of the famous German Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E, which entered service in 1942. Developed to combat the heavily armored Soviet T-34 and KV-1, this tank quickly became a symbol of German armor of German armoured strength with its powerful 88mm KwK 36 gun, heavy armour and technical sophistication.
Early versions of the Tiger I had distinctive features such as a more elaborate exhaust system, an early type of command turret, and continuous track links mounted on the sides of the turret. They were deployed on the Eastern Front in the battles of Leningrad and Stalingrad, as well as in North Africa, where they engaged the British 8th Army.
The Tamiya model offers precision workmanship, including a detailed chassis with functional suspension, realistically engraved surface texture of the armour and the option to build the tank with open hatches. The kit also includes crew figures in period uniforms, allowing for the creation of an authentic diorama.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
