This model represents the late production run, which was deployed from late 1943 and had a number of technical improvements, including a more powerfularmour, a new conning tower, redesigned exhausts and steel running wheels instead of the original rubber wheels.
These Tigers were deployed in defensive battles on the Eastern Front, in France and in the Ardennes, where their powerful 88mm gun armament and heavy armour, they were a formidable opponent to Allied tanks.
