Citadel Base: Mournfang Brown is an acrylic paint from the Citadel Base series, designed specifically for creating base coats on Warhammer miniatures. This dark brown shade with warm undertones is one of the most versatile paints for painting organic and non-organic surfaces - from leather armor, belts and webbing to wooden parts of weapons, shields and vehicles to animal fur, monster skin or earth bases.
Mournfang Brown is formulated to provide excellent coverage in the first coat, saving time and material when working with larger areas. Its consistency makes the paint easy to apply with a brush without streaking or uneven coverage. The dark base allows effective layering of lighter brown shades (such as XV-88, Balor Brown or Ushabti Bone) and the creation of transitions using techniques such as layering or glazing.
The colour is compatible with the entire Citadel Shade range (such as Agrax Earthshade for deepening shadows) and can be combined with dry brushing techniques to bring out the textures of leather, wood or fur. Mournfang Brown is suitable for all Warhammer factions - from Space Marine leather cloaks, to Tyranid organic surfaces, to wooden Orks vehicle structures or terrain bases.
The pack contains 12 ml of paint in a plastic bottle with a cap to prevent quick drying. We recommend shaking or stirring the paint properly before use.
