The Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat was the U.S. Navy's primary deck-based fighter aircraft in the early stages of the war in the Pacific. The F4F-4 version, introduced in 1942, featured folding wings and six .50-caliber machine guns, which allowed for increased numbers of aircraft aboard carriers, but reduced power and firing time.
The Eduard F4F-4 Wildcat early 1/48th scale kit (cat. no. 82202) from the ProfiPACK edition offers:
-
Detailed plastic parts with fine engraving
-
Colorful etched accessories for the interior
-
Pre-cut masks for cab and wheels
-
Decals for six authentic camouflage schemes, including machines from VF-3, VF-5, VF-6, VF-9 and other squadrons
Designed for the more experienced modeler with an interest in WWII aviation, this model offers a high level of detail and historical accuracy.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
