B-26 Marauder External Gun Pack 1/48 / for ICM kits

The B-26 Marauder was a twin-engine USAAF medium bomber that served in all major theaters of World War II - Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Pacific. The aircraft's standard armament included defensive machine guns in various firing positions, but during the war the need for more powerful forward direct fire became apparent, especially in low-level attack passes over ground targets. In response to this need, additional gun packs were developed, fitted with fixed-mounted .50 cal (12.7 mm) Browning M2 machine guns, which were mounted on the fuselage or under the nose of the aircraft. These modifications were used primarily for attacks on supply columns, railroad junctions, and lightly armored targets.

CMK 4517 is a resin set by the Czech company CMK designed as a direct complement to ICM's 1:48 scale B-26 Marauder kit. It brings detailed parts of the external weapons package that significantly increase the credibility and historical accuracy of the resulting model compared to the standard content of the basic kit. The resin parts feature a high level of detail in the surface structures, precision barrel shape and mounting features - all of a quality that injection moulded plastic parts generally do not achieve.

The set is designed for intermediate to advanced modelers who have experience working with resin. Resin parts require careful separation from casting blocks, possible touch-up of mating surfaces, and bonding with instant adhesive. The package does not contain paint or glue.
