The Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Type 21 was the main fighter aircraft of the Japanese Imperial Naval Air Force at the beginning of World War II. With its lightweight design and exceptional maneuverability, it dominated aerial combat in the early years of the conflict, particularly during the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Pacific campaigns.
