1/72 Tachikawa Ki-54HEI double-sided painting mask for Special Hobby
ASK masks in 1/72 scale for the Special Hobby Tachikawa Ki-54 Hei, made as a double-sided self-adhesive set. EXTERIOR and INTERIOR sections cover the glazing on both sides, with masks for clear parts and wheels added.
The masks are an in-house ASK design, drawn directly for the clear parts of the Special Hobby Tachikawa Ki-54 Hei kit in 1/72 scale. Double-sided set ASK 200-M72007 (SCALE MASK) has clearly labelled sections: EXTERIOR with masks 1–16 and INTERIOR with masks 17–32 for the cockpit glazing, two CLEAR PARTS sections – for the outer and inner side of further clear parts numbered Z1 to Z11 – and a WHEELS section with two C15 and two C16 masks. The masks are shaped for the Special Hobby kit in 1/72 scale; the one-sided version is 200-M72006.
The twin-engine Tachikawa Ki-54 (Allied codename Hickory) was developed in 1939–1940 for the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service as a trainer for complete bomber crews. The Hei transport and communications version, the Ki-54c, had a smoother exterior and seated up to eight people.
