1/72 Tarpon MK.I

The Sword Tarpon Mk.I is a 1/72-scale plastic model kit designed to be assembled and painted.

The Tarpon Mk.I is the British designation for an early version of the Grumman Avenger aircraft in service with the Fleet Air Arm. The kit depicts a robust carrier-based aircraft with a distinctive fuselage, a large cockpit, and a typical naval character.

The model includes two decal versions.

Building Recommendations

• Before gluing, we recommend dry-fitting the parts and checking the geometry of the wings, tail surfaces, and landing gear.
• It is advisable to prepare the cockpit, canopies, landing gear bays, and antennas as separate subassemblies.
• For a clean finish, use primer, thin layers of model paints, decal solution, and a final coat of clear coat according to your chosen color scheme.

Model adhesives, fillers, sanding materials, primers, model paints, and decal solutions are suitable for this build. Paints and adhesive are not included in the kit unless otherwise specified.
