1/72 Spitfire Mk.I/II Exterior detail set
Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I and Mk.II formed the basis of the RAF's armament in the late 1930s and 1940s and played a key role during the Battle of Britain. These first production versions of the legendary fighter aircraft were powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, carried eight machine guns, and had a7.7mm and featured a sleek design that made them one of the finest machines of their time. Although the design was based on inter-war standards, they gradually underwent minor modifications to meet the demands of combat deployment.
The 1/72nd scale IBG add-on kit focuses on the exterior of the early Spitfires and brings finely crafted details to enhance the standard kit. It includes elements of surface detail, small structural parts and external armament, giving modellers the opportunity to create a more faithful replica of the aircraft. The kit is designed to integrate easily into commonly available kits, elevating the resulting model to a higher level of accuracy and historical fidelity.
