Special Hobby 1/72 SMB-2 Super Mystere 'Sambad' is a plastic model of an important French jet fighter, the first Western European type to break the speed of sound in level flight. The SMB-2 served in both France and Israel, where some machines were modified with American engines and participated in combat operations. After being retired from the Israeli Air Force, some were transferred to Honduras.
The kit contains mouldings for both engine variants (French Atar 9B and American Pratt & Whitney J52). The decals allow to build two Israeli machines with the original engine and one with the American engine. The model excels in detail and offers interesting camouflages. M72001 masks are also available for the model. The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
