MiG-21F-13 in 1/72 scale from the "Warsaw Pact" edition of Prostějov Metalworks represents one of the first exportch versions of this legendary Soviet jet fighter aircraft, produced since the late 1950s. The aircraft is the first example of the legendary fighter jet from the 1950s. The F-13 version was the first MiG-21 to be equipped with air-to-air missiles while remaining true to the simple but effective concept of a day fighter.
This edition focuses on machines that served in the air forces of Warsaw Pact countries such as Czechoslovakia, Poland, Bulgaria and the GDR. Typical of these machines were their simple design, high speed and excellent climb capabilities. The model offers fine negative engraving, authentic camouflage schemes and clean parts suitable for moderately advanced modellers.
The kit includes detailed moldings and a selection of decals with variants from various Eastern Bloc countries that deployed the MiG-21F-13 during the 1960s. and 70s during their service as the main supersonic fighter aircraft within the alliance's defence structure.
