Aires 1/72 Sepecat Jaguar GR.1/GR.1A flare dispensers Quickboost is a resin add-on designed to improve the detail of 1:72 scale plastic kits of Sepecat Jaguar GR.1/GR.1A. It contains precision machined flare dispensers that replace or supplement the original plastic parts of the kit. The package does not include paint or adhesives needed for installation.
The Sepecat Jaguar was a British-French tactical attack aircraft developed in the 1960s to support ground forces and strike missions. The British GR.1 (Ground Attack/Reconnaissance) version entered service with the Royal Air Force in 1973 and underwent successive upgrades, the most significant of which led to the GR.1A version with improved avionics and an enhanced defensive system. This system included flare dispensers to protect the aircraft from infrared homing missiles. These elements were mounted on the fuselage or under the wings and were an important element of passive defence when operating in an anti-aircraft missile threat environment.
The Aires Quickboost resin add-on brings a more detailed and accurate design to these ejectors than standard plastic kits offer. The resin parts allow for finer capture of surface details, panel lines, and openings, increasing the overall believability of the model.
