The Boulton Paul Sea Balliol T.21, introduced into service in 1952, was a British trainer aircraft designed specifically for the Royal Navy. This two-seat machine was based on the original land-based Balliol model, but was adapted for operations from aircraft carriers. The Sea Balliol T.21 was fitted with a reinforced undercarriage, a deck landing hook and other modifications for the harsh sea conditions.
The aircraft was used to train naval pilots in advanced aerobatics and control of the aircraft during carrier operations. Although its career was relatively short, the Sea Balliol T.21 contributed to the development of naval aviation in the UK in the post-war period.
