The Avia Ba.222 in 1/72 scale by RS Models is an experimental Czechoslovak fighter aircraft developed in the mid 1930s as part of the effort to modernize the Czechoslovak Air Force. The aircraft was designed as an all-metal low-flying aircraft with an aerodynamically clean design that promised high performance and improved maneuverability over previous types.
Although the Ba.222 represented an advance in technology and design, its development was not carried through to serial production because the Czechoslovak Air Force opted for other types of aircraft. The aircraft never entered combat service, but its development contributed to the further development of Czechoslovak aviation technology.
The RS Models model offers a faithfully crafted cockpit, accurate engraved fuselage and wing details and authentic proportions, making it an interesting addition for collectors of interwar aircraft.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
