The Advanced SEALS Delivery System (ASDS) was an experimental U.S. Navy mini-submarine developed since the 1990s as a means of covertly transporting SEALs. It was designed to be deployed from SSN-688 Los Angeles or Virginia submarines and allowed for the dry movement of special forces underwater to near the final point of operation. The system was developed with an emphasis on silent operation and low detectability, but the project was eventually cancelled due to technical problems and high cost.
The 1/72 scale RCsubs SKU-0207 kit is an accurately crafted model of this unique craft. It includes resin parts and a set of etched details for realistic surface, hull, access hatches and optical and technical features. It is designed especially for experienced modellers.
The package does not include the paints or glues needed for assembly.
