The Westland Lysander was one of the distinctive British aircraft of World War II, designed primarily for cooperation with ground forces, reconnaissance and liaison missions. Its ability to operate from short and improvised areas made it an ideal machine for special missions, including covert SOE (Special Operations Executive) operations, dropping off and picking up agents in occupied Europe. The Lysander's armament typically included Browning .303 machine guns, which could be mounted in a variety of configurations - either as fixed armament in the wings or as a moveable observer/shooter weapon in the rear of the cabin.

CMK offers a 3D printed accessory set that features a detailed design of the Browning twin belt-fed machine gun. This type of armament was a characteristic of some Lysander variants and its accurate depiction adds to the authenticity of the model. 3D printing makes it possible to capture fine details that are difficult to achieve in conventional injection moulded kits - for example, the structure of the track feed, the shape of the barrel or the mounting elements. Installation of the 3D printed parts requires some experience: The surface may require light touch-up or removal of the print supports, and it is recommended to use a hot melt adhesive or two-part epoxy adhesive that works better with the materials used in 3D printing (usually resin). After installation, parts can be painted with standard model paints; the use of a primer is recommended for better paint adhesion. The detailed design of the machine guns allows for realistic highlighting using wash techniques, dry brush or pigments to achieve the effect of wear, oil stains or metallic sheen.
