1/48 Fw190A Seat and Side Section Back Armour (w/o harness)/for Eduard kits

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the most successful Luftwaffe fighter aircraft during World War II. Since its introduction into service in 1941, it presented an unpleasant surprise to Allied pilots - combining power, agility and rugged construction with significantly better cockpit ergonomics than earlier types. The pilot's seat was one of the key elements affecting both safety and comfort during combat flights. It included armoured back and head protection, seat and back cushions with a distinctive recess for a parachute pack and a seat belt system. It was these details that gave the cockpit authenticity and reflected the real conditions in which pilots operated.

The CMK add-on in scale 1:48 brings a 3D printed seat based on an original model from a private collectionThe unique cushions, including a seat cushion and a back cushion with a recess for a parachute, have been preserved. This approach ensures a high degree of fidelity to the actual design. The seat is printed without seat belts, allowing modelers to add them as they choose - either from photo-etched parts, lovetape or other aftermarket kits, giving them full control over the final look and detail of the cockpit.

The add-on is designed for Eduard's Focke-Wulf Fw 190A kits and replaces the standard plastic cockpit parts with a more accurate and detailed design. 3D printing allows you to capture the subtle shapes of the cushions, the texture of the material and other elements that are often simplified or completely missing in conventional injection moulded parts. Installation requires basic resin work - removing support structures, sanding and fitting the parts into the cockpit of the kit. Once painted and appropriate highlighting techniques (wash, dry wipe, pigments) are applied, the seat significantly raises the overall level of detail and authenticity of the model.

The add-on is suitable for modelers who want to take their Fw 190A model to the next level, especially if they are planning an open cockpit or detailed interior. The package does not include paint or adhesives needed for installation.
