CMK 1/48 Fw190A Seat and Side Section Back Armour (w/ harness)/for Eduard kits is 3D printed seat with armour and harness for Focke-Wulf Fw 190A in 1:48 scale by Eduard. The seat is based on an original seat with preserved seat and back cushion with recess for parachute from a private collection. The add-on replaces standard kit parts and brings a higher level of detail and historical accuracy. Designed for advanced modelers.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the most successful Luftwaffe fighter aircraft during World War II. Since its deployment in 1941, it was an unpleasant surprise for Allied pilots - it had excellent performance, good manoeuvrability and robust design. The cockpit of the Fw 190 was designed with ergonomics and pilot protection in mind. The seat with armoured back and head cover was a key element of passive protection in combat, while the seat and back cushionThe back and seat cushions with recesses for the parachute pack ensured comfort during long flights and difficult manoeuvres. The seatbelt straps allowed the pilot to remain firmly in the seat even under extreme overloads.
The CMK scale 1:48 is based on an original seat with preserved cushions from a private collection, guaranteeing an exceptionalhistorical accuracy and fidelity to details not normally preserved or not adequately captured on standard kit parts. 3D printing makes it possible to reproduce the delicate textures, the shaping of the cushions, the recesses for the parachute and the texture of the straps with an accuracy that conventional injection technology cannot achieve. The seat is printed complete with straps, saving time and making assembly easier.
The accessory is designed for Eduard's 1:48 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190A kits and replaces the standard cockpit parts. Installation requires basic modelling skills - removing support structures from the print (if present), sanding the mating surfaces if necessary and then fitting them into the cockpit. The seat can be highlighted with dry brush, oil paints or pigments to bring out the texture of the cushions, armour wear and traces of strap use. This type of detail greatly enhances the realism of the cockpit, especially on open-hooded models or in cross-sectional assemblies.
The add-on is suitable for advanced modellers who want to achieve the maximum level of detail and historical authenticity.
