Aires 1/48 F/A-18F Super Hornet cockpit set is a resin kit designed to improve the detail of the cockpit of the 1:48 scale plastic model of F/A-18F Super Hornet. The kit replaces the basic plastic parts with more detailed resin castings and allows to achieve a higher level of fidelity to the model. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is a two-seat multirole fighter and attack version of the F/A-18E/F that entered U.S. Navy service at the turn of the millennium. It represents a significantly improved and enlarged variant of the original F/A-18A-D Hornet with greater range, weapons payload, and more advanced avionics. Installation requires basic resin handling skills (sanding, filing, bonding with instant glue or epoxy) and compatibility with the 1:48 scale base kit.
