1/48 F-21 IAI Kfir C1/USMC F-21A Lion
Kinetic 1/48 F-21 IAI Kfir C1/USMC F-21A Lion is a model of the Israeli Kfir C1 fighter aircraft and its American version F-21A Lion, used by the US Marine Corps as aggressor training aircraft. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The IAI Kfir C1 was an Israeli supersonic fighter aircraft developed in the 1970s based on the French Dassault Mirage 5. Thanks to the General Electric J79 engine and Israeli avionics, it became a modern multi-role machine with high performance and flexibility. The Kfir C1 represented the first production variant that the Israeli Air Force put into service and later exported abroad.
A specific chapter in the Kfir's history was its service with the US Marine Corps. In the 1980s, 25 machines were leased to the US, where they served as aggressor aircraft in air combat training under the designation F-21A Lion. Their flight characteristics made them ideally suited to simulate Soviet machines and they played an important role in the training of US Navy and USMC pilots.
The 1/48 scale Kinetic kit offers the possibility to build both the Israeli variant of the Kfir C1 and the American F-21A Lion. The model is detailed and complete with authentic coloring, making it an attractive choice for all modelers interested in Israeli Air Force and US aggressor units.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
