Hobby Boss 1/48 F-14B Tomcat is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The F-14B differs from the earlier F-14A through its General Electric F110 engines. This release offers VF-103 aircraft BuNo 161435 from USS George Washington in 2000 and VF-74 aircraft BuNo 162919 from USS Saratoga in 1992.
Over 490 plastic parts on 23 sprues are accompanied by four rubber tyres and an etched fret. The cockpit, wheel bays and engines are represented, while the flaps can be fitted in different positions. Four decal sheets include instrument and maintenance markings. Stores comprise two AIM-9s, two AIM-7s, six AIM-54s and two external tanks. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
