Trumpeter 1/48 CH-34 US Army Rescue depicts a piston-engined Army rescue helicopter from the Sikorsky S-58/H-34 family. This edition focuses on US Army aircraft and their rescue role, with stretchers as well as seats provided for the cabin.
Kit 02883 includes over 320 plastic parts, including 16 clear parts, on 12 sprues, plus two photo-etched frets, decals and instructions. The cockpit, engine and cabin are represented, with three interior configurations available. The sliding door can be displayed open. Decals and painting guides offer a light-coloured rescue helicopter with red crosses and number 54465, or a camouflaged Army aircraft numbered 71743.
The rotor blades have a pre-formed droop. Allow for a length of 404 mm and a rotor diameter of 333 mm when choosing a display space: the rotor also determines the clearance needed around the helicopter. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
