The Grumman A-6 Intruder was an airborne attack aircraft developed for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Its main strength was its ability to carry a large amount of armament and make precision strikes day or night and in all weather conditions. The A-6E variant represented the most widespread modernization, entering service in the early 1970s. It was equipped with advanced radar and navigation equipment, as well as the ability to carry AGM-84 Harpoon or AGM-65 Maverick cruise missiles. The A-6Es proved their worth in Vietnam, Lebanon, and during the Persian Gulf War, where they were among the key machines for attacking land and sea targets.

Kinetic's 1/48 scale kit features a detailed model of this iconic A-6E Intruder with finely engraved surfaces, a realistic cockpit and a wide range of armament. Its modern forms and high level of detail make it an ideal choice for experienced modelers who want to one of the most important attack aircraft of the US Navy in the second half of the 20th century. This is the first of its kind in the history of the 20th century.

The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
