The German Tiger I heavy tank, which entered service in 1942, was one of the most feared armored vehicles of World War II. Its early production series from early 1943 was deployed on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, where it excelled thanks to its heavy armor and 88mm KwK 36 L/56 cannon. Although technologically advanced, its high production costs and mechanical complexity limited the scope of its deployment.
The Tiger I Initial Production (Early 1943) kit from Rye Field Model in 1/35 scale offers the opportunity to build a detailed model of this early version with a complete interior. The kit includes plastic parts for a faithful reproduction of the engine compartment, transmission, ammunition, fighting compartment, and other internal parts of the tank. The model features functional suspension, realistic tracks, and offers the option to build it in two variants.
Thanks to its precise craftsmanship and high level of detail, this model is the ideal choice for experienced modelers interested in German armored vehicles from World War II. The kit does not include the paints or adhesives needed for assembly.
