The T-55A, introduced in 1965, was a modernized variant of the famous Soviet T-55 tank, differing primarily in...better crew protection and adaptation for the use of protective equipment against weapons of mass destruction. This tank became one of the most widespread types of the Eastern Bloc and served in dozens ofarmies around the world, including Czechoslovakia, Poland, the GDR, as well as Middle Eastern and African states.
