1/35 Industrial Tractor Standard N Mod. 1936/38
MiniArt 1/35 Industrial Tractor Standard N Mod. 1936/38 is a plastic model of a civilian industrial tractor, designed for gluing. The kit depicts the version produced in 1936-1938, which was used in ports, factories and construction sites. Photo-etched parts and decals are included. The model is suitable as a basis for civilian, industrial and early war dioramas.
The Standard N tractor was a Soviet industrial wheeled tractor manufactured in the second half of the 1930s, whose use extended far beyond agriculture. It was used in ports to move cargo, in factories to handle heavy loads, and on construction sites as a towing vehicle for various equipment. Its robustness and availability made it a common part of the Soviet industrial infrastructure of the pre-war period. In the early stages of World War II, these machines also appeared in the rear of military operations, where they performed logistical and support roles - indeed, the line between civilian and military equipment was often very thin in the conditions of the Soviet war economy.
MiniArt's 1:35 scale kit depicts an industrial variant of the tractor in a configuration corresponding to 1936-1938. The plastic parts are complemented by photo-etched parts, allowing the fine details of the body and chassis to be faithfully captured. The detailed engine and chassis will be especially appreciated by modelers who like to work with open kits or see-through models. Authentic wheel and tire design adds to the overall believable feel of the model. Decals are also included.
The model is best used in dioramas depicting industrial or port environments of the interwar Soviet Union, or in early war scenes depicting facilities and logistics. The colour scheme matches the civilian machines' typically simple, work-worn paintwork - rusted edges, grease stains and dust are a natural part of the final appearance. Package does not include paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
